Ministerial Award: Zamfara State emerges the best performing state in Digital Human Capital Development.

Zamfara State emerges as the state with the highest score in ICT Human Capital development, first of its kind in the history of the State’s ICT. This is a clear indication that the Administration of Dr . Bello Matawalle is taking ICT to a next level in the State.

This development is apparently as a result of entrusting the just created agency to the very competent hands matching the expectations.

The delegates that represented the State at the NCCDE 8th Regular Meeting are: Hon. Umar Abdullahi Shinkafi (SA ZITDA), Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, Hon. Yahaya Muhd Tambura , Director Information, Sanusi Kaura and acting Director Research and statistics to this bless agency Ashiru.

The meeting is annually organized by the National Council on Communication and Digital Economy (NCCDE). The theme of the meeting was “Leveraging Digital Economy Policies and Strategies for Economic Recovery in a Covid-19 Era and beyond” presided by the Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy on behalf of the Hon Minister Dr Isa Ali Pantami.

 

Zamfara being a farming and mining state, hence Honorable Muhammad Yahaya Tambura presented a technical paper to the council for consideration titled ‘Enhancing the ICT Capacities of Farmers and Farm Communities Through Cyber-extension; A Panacea for Improved Economy’

The Meeting commenced on the 27th of November and lasted to Tuesday 1st December at Imo Trade and Investment center, Owerri, Imo state.
