President of Unijos Staff Multi Purpose Cooperative society Limited UJSMCL Ukpo Aaodohemba has admonished Committee members, representing various Committees in the Cooperative society to see the responsibility given them as a community service.

He gave the admonition at the inauguration of the various Committees assigned to work with the Excos of the Cooperative to better the affairs of the cooperative society at the Bauchi road Campus, University of Jos.

He said they are part of Exco of the Cooperative therefore they should feel free to make corrections where necessary, contributing their best to the growth of the body.


The President of UJSMCL also sued for a better synergy between the leaders of the Committees and the Executive in order to serve effectively.

Administrating the oath of office, Legal Advicer Dr Morgan Piwuna also admonished the Committee Members to contribute to the growth of the Cooperative society.

Citing article 43 and 44 on page 29 of the UJSMCSL bye- Laws,the public relations officer Juliana Olajide explained what birthed the appointment of members of the committee, duration of their tenure , and reasons their appointments can be terminated.

Speaking on behalf of other Committee Members, Chairman, Loans, Accounting and Finance Committee, Simdi Dawurung asserted that leadership is a call to service, therefore assured that indeed committee members will do their best to add value to the co-operative.

A vote of thanks and confidence in the Committee was given by the Vice President, UJSMCL, Dr. Kanang Akims.

The committees inaugurated are the Investment committee business committee,loans accounting and finance committee, education committee,displinary conmittee and the public relations committee.
