Yobe Prepared To Receive President Buhari

…As Int’l. Airport, Schools, Maternity, Market Ready For Commissioning

The Yobe State Government under the administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni CON, COMN (Chiroman Gujba) is well prepared to receive President Muhammadu Buhari on a one-day working visit on Tuesday 10th January, 2023, to commission landmark projects executed by the Gov. Buni in the last 3 years.

The project line up for commissioning by the President include, Yobe International Cargo Airport, Schools, Market and Nigeria’s largest Maternal and Child Healthcare Complex at the State Teaching Hospital, Damaturu initiated and completed by the Buni administration.

While inspecting the projects, the Deputy Governor, Hon. Idi Barde Gubana (Wazirin Fune), who led the State High Powered Committee Wednesday, commended the preparations put in place so far towards hosting the ‘august visitor’ President Muhammadu Buhari.

“With the preparations put in place so far, Yobe is ready to accord the President a well deserved welcome”, he stated.

The Deputy Gov. was at the Yobe International Cargo Airport where he was recieved and briefed by the Commissioner Ministry of transport and energy, Hon Abdullahi Kukuwa who assured the delegation that the airport will be fully ready before the date of the occasion.

Similarly, the delegation proceeded to Damaturu Ultra Modern Market and the newly constructed Maternal and Child Healthcare Complex.

The Deputy Governor also visited Modern school in New Bra-Bra quarters as well as August 27 Stadium Damaturu to assess the level of the preparation for the successful hosting of president Mohammad Buhari.

The Deputy Governor expressed satisfaction with the level of work done on all the projects the team inspected so far.

Other members of the team include, leader of the state House of Assembly, Hon Bukar Mustapha, Barr Saleh Samanja, Dr Abubakar Garba iliya, Hon Commissioner Humanitarian Affairs, Hon. Abdullahi Kukuwa Hon. Commissioner Transport and Dr Mohammad Lawan Gana, Hon. Commissioner of Health as well as Hon Bukar Dauda.

Other members were permanent secretary Ministry of Agriculture Dr. Kolere, Chairman Damaturu Local Government, Hon Bukar Adamu and General Manager YOSEPA Baba Kachallah Gaidam.

Also the representatives of the security agencies were among the inspection team.
