Sallah: Gov Bagudu lauds people of Kebbi State for voting APC

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu,CON, has lauded the people of Kebbi for supporting APC to clinch power in Kebbi State.

The Governor also apologized to the people of Kebbi State for whatever shortcomings that might have occurred in the course of his eight years of governance of the state .

Speaking to journalist at Government House Birnin Kebbi, this Friday after the Eid prayer , Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu acknowledged that today’s Eid celebration would be the last of his administration,saying that it was normal occurance to encounter mistakes as human beings.

The Governor expressed happiness that people of Kebbi State gave their unflinching support to APC candidates which resulted in securing victory at the polls for APC ruling party.

Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu described the governor elect , Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu as a person with pedigree, humility and compassion who would provide the necessary leadership that would make Kebbi State to be the best and excell in all sectors .

He urged the people of Kebbi State to extend similar support and cooperation to the in coming administration to strengthen the path of progress for the betterment of all inhabitants.

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, CON, further thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for providing necessary moral and material support to Kebbi Sate to excel among its peers .

The Governor was also full of commendation for President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing a capable person from Kebbi State, Abubakar Malami,SAN, as the Minister of Justice and Attorney of the Federation , describing him as the best Attorney – General Nigeria has ever produced in her history.

The Governor also congratulated the President for successfully performing the Umrah in Saudi Arabia and celebrating the Eidel Fitr at home which will be the final in his position as the President of the country.

In a similar Sallah message, the Governor elect, Dr Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, thanked God for his favours to Kebbi State and acknowledging that the Ramadan fast was observed peacefully under his guidance while the Eid – el- Fitr has been celebrating gleefully with Passion.

Dr. Nasir Idris said on his behalf and entire people of Kebbi State, he thanked Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN for their massive support and cooperation that paved way for the victory of APC to clinch power once again.

The Governor -elect affirmed commitment to build upon their legacy of development and compassion for the people.

He also thanked the people Kebbi State for their overwhelming support and understanding to him and the ruling party, soliciting for the sustenance of the such support to his administration.

Earlier, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, the Governor -elect,Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu,the Minister for Justice , Abubakar Malami, SAN and the Emir of Gwandu Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar were among thousands of worshippers who offered the two raakah Eid-el-fitr prayer at the Gesse Two Eid Praying ground , Birnin Kebbi.

The prayer was lead by Liman Ahmad Rufai Wala . In his speech after the prayer, the Emir of Gwandu and Chairman Kebbi State council of Chiefs , Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar urged parents to safeguard moral upbringing of their children.

The royal father also cautioned youths against drug addiction harmful to their wellbeing.

Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar urged people to live in peace with one another, remain loyal to their leaders as well as imbibe the virtures of the month of Ramadan.
