Mammoth crowd hold rally in Kebbi to celebrate Gov. Idris’s victory at the Supreme Court

Hundreds of people including party supporters of All Progressives Congress, APC this Sunday from the 21 local areas of Kebbi State held rally to celebrate the Supreme Court verdict that affirmed Gov. Nasir Idris as the duly elected governor of Kebbi State in the 2023 Governorship.

The rally which was organised by the APC in the state, started at the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport, Birnin Kebbi to welcome the governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu .

Procession of vehicles including Keke Napep, motorcycles and the motorcade of the Governor from the airport passed through major roads in the state capital, Birnin Kebbi .

Addressing a mammoth crowd at Haliru Abdu Stadium, Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State called on members of the opposition parties to join hands with his administration to develop the state now that politics is over.

The Gov said ‘ If other politicians are in politics for the sake of the people, iam inviting them to join hands with me for the development of Kebbi State as all processses of litigation from the election tribunal to appeal court and the Supreme Court have been decided, by the will of God Kaura is the Governor’ ,he said.

Gov. Nasir reaffirmed commitment to sustain the implementation of developmental projects already started by his administration designed to cover all the local Government Areas of the State.

He solicited for the support, goodwill and prayers of the people for the APC led administration, vowing that he will deliver on all his campaign promises.

Gov Nasir Idris gave an assurance that he would provide full security to the people of Kebbi State, saying that security is the basic foundation of development.

‘ There is no reason we have a government without Security in the land, iam assuring the people of Zuru, Yauri and Augie of full Security for the protection of lives and property.

‘ We have no other state than Kebbi State, I will continue to garner resources within and outside Nigeria for the State’ he averred.

Comrade Nasir Idris reaffirmed that he would continue to imbibe the ideals of justice and fairness in the task of governance.

He expressed appreciation for the tremendous support he has continue to recieve from the APC under the Chairmanship of Abubakar Kana Zuru, the House of Assembly, under the speakership of Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Ankwe, Commissioners and other Government functionaries.

Among the dignatories in the welcoming party were former Kebbi State Governor, Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari, former Deputy Governor, Alhaji Bello Dantani, former Minister of Internal Affairs, General Muhammad Magoro, Nationak organising secretary of APC, Alhaji Suleiman Muhammad Argungu, State APC Chairman, Speaker Kebbi State House of Assembly, SSG, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, Head of Service, Alhaji Sufyanu Garba Bena, members of the national and state assembly including Muhammad Bello Dallatu, Member House of Reps.

The leadership of the ruling party, APC, led by its Chairman Abubakar Kana Zuru, presented an award of Excellence and Service to Humanity to Governor Idris for making the party proud through his unprecedented achievements and victory at the supreme Court.
