LGA Polls: Bauchi Chief Judge Swears in Tribunal Chairmen

The Bauchi State Chief Judge, Justice Rabi Talatu Umar has swear in local Government Election tribunal chairmen and members for the forthcoming local Government Election schedule to hold on Saturday the 17th October 2020.

Justice Rabi Talatu said the establishment, Composition, function and power of the local Government Election tribunal of Bauchi State is statutory as contained in the Bauchi State electoral law, 2008.

She added that on powers conferred on her by Section 59 of the Electoral law 2008, she established the tribunal and carefully selected and appointed chairmen and members of the tribunal for the three senotorial District based on merit, integrity and experience.

Talatu Umar call on the Chairmen and Members of the tribunal to consider their appointment as a call to service of the state and make it a duty to give their best.

She changed them to Always remember the Oath their have taken to give the account of every action and inaction in discharging the responsibility, you neither have friend nor have and enemy, parties are equal before you, she said

In his remark on behalf of the appointees and also The chairman of Bauchi south Local govt election tribunal Barr. Ben Oguchi assured the chief Judge that they will do their best with out taken any side.

The tribunal consist of a chairman and two members for each senotorial District, The chairmen are, Bauchi south Barr. Ben Oguchi, Bauchi Central Barr. Nasiru Balan Malam and Bauchi North Chief Magistrate Shafa’u Ladan Yusuf.
