Bauchi state independent electoral commission (BASIEC)has reiterated it commitment toward conducting free, Fair and credible local government election in the state.
The state chairman BASIEC Dahiru Tata stated this during distribution of sensitive materials for onward distribution to twenty local government area of the state held at commission head quarters along Ningi road Bauchi.
Dahiru Tata pointed out that over Nineteen thousands adhoc staff have been trained to participate in the Saturday 17th October local government election.
Tata while commenting on measures put in place by the commission to ensure that the Covid-19 protocols are observes, said that the commission has provided twenty thousand face mark to be use by their adhoc staff.
He therefore called on the voters to adhere strictly to Covid-19 protocols, noting that hand sanitizer will be provide at all polling units.
In his speech, the chairman committee on electoral matters Bauchi state house of assembly Gazali Abubakar commended the BASIEC for timely distribution of election materials.
The event had in attendance party agents, securities personnel as well as election observers.
