Kebbi State APC leaders present new Acting Chairman, others to Gov. Bagudu

Executive members of All Progressive Congress, APC at State and local government levels have presented new Acting Caretaker Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Kana and other three executive members to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu following the suspension of the former Caretaker Chairman, Architect Bala Sani Kangiwa and other three executives by the party.

The party leaders have also affirmed loyalty and support to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and his people oriented administration.

Acting caretaker Chairman of the party, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Kana led other party stalwarts including elders of the APC and its hierachy at State and Local level on a solidarity visit to the governor at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi this Tuesday.

Speaking to newsmen immediately after the visit, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu commended them for their loyalty to the party and adherence to its constitutional provisions.

Senator Atiku Bagudu appealed to all APC members to continue to sustain their support to government and party leadership .

The governor endorsed the decision and action taken by the leadership of APC at state level which affected four executive members of the party, acknowledging that the measure was in line with its constitutional provisions on disciplinary matters .

Senator Atiku Bagudu urged all stakeholders and other APC members to remain peaceful and work hard towards the success of the party in every election.

The Acting caretaker Chairman,of APC, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Kana assured the position of caretaker Chairmen following the suspension of Architect Bala Sani Kangiwa.

He thanked members of the party for reposing confidence on him and assured the governor of their unflinching support to his administration.

The Assistant Caretaker Secretary of APC, Alhaji Zaiyanu Aliero narrated the circumstances that led to the suspension of the former caretaker State Chairman, Architect Bala Sani Kangiwa, the former Treasurer, Alhaji Garba Musa Tungan Marina and the former Financial Secretary, Alhaji Aliyu Bature.

He informed the governor that committee was set up to investigate allegations against them and were given fair opportunity to defend themselves in accordance with the party constitution but failed to do so.

Consequently, the party leadership authorized the suspension of the three executive members after obtaining legal advice from the party’s lawyer.

Furthermore, the former caretaker Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Sani Dododo resigned from his position in his own volition devoid of any allegations against him .

Alhaji Zaiyanu announced new executive members have been appointed to fill the positions vacated by the former members.

An elder of the party and Chairman of the APC Elders forum, Alhaji Sani Hukuma Zauro ,Zannan Gwandu vowed that all members of the party would defend its integrity and remain loyal and obedient to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.
