KBSG donates ambulances to hospitals, vehicles to others

Kebbi State Government on Friday recorded another history by donating brand new, ultramodern ambulances to some hospitals across the state.

The gesture was also extended to other Ministries and Agencies, including the Government House, Press Crew.

The benefiting hospitals are, General Hospital, Argungu, Sir Yahaya Memorial Hospital, Birnin Kebbi and Martha Bamaiyi General Hospital, Zuru.

The rest are, Kebbi State University Teaching Hospital, Kalgo and the General Hospitals in Bunza, Yauri and Jega.

Also, the Ministries of Women Affairs and Education were given brand new operational vehicles, including the College of Nursing Sciences and Midwifery, Birnin Kebbi.

Similarly, a new bus was donated to the Government House press crew while the Chairman, Board of Internal Revenue Service received a new Hilux vehicle.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, this Friday, Governor Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, said the gesture was in fulfilment of his campaign promises to the people of the state.

He said, “We always keep to our words, we don’t promise something that we can’t fulfil,

“This applies to all our projects, everything we said, we have done remarkably”.

The Governor affirmed commitment to prudent management of resources of the state with financial discipline and transparency.

Comrade Kauran Gwandu directed beneficiaries to ensure judicious use of the vehicles, ordering that the ambulances must always be kept at the premises of the hospitals.

‘ You must not have more than one driver to a vehicle so that you will know who to hold responsible when something happens ‘, he warned.

Dr. Idris remarked that ambulances were paramount to the efficient running of hospitals and easy conveyance of patients.
