Kaduna Bye Election: PDP defeat ruling APC at state House of Assembly election

Alhaji Usman Baba (Ubale) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won the bye election for Sabon Gari Constituency of Kaduna state house of assembly.

The returning officer Dr Mohammed-Nuruddin Musa announced Baba as duly elected member of Kaduna state house of assembly having satisfied the requirements of law and scored 9,113 votes.

He defeated his closest contender from the All Progressives Congress (APC) Malam Musa Musa who scored 7404 votes.

He said Anas Abdullahi of the ADC scored 62 votes, Chindo Ibrahim of ADP scored 61 and Musa Halilu of PRP scored 305 votes.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the seat occupied by Aminu Shagali, member representing the constituency, was declared vacant in April, after he was alleged to have absconded from activities of the assembly for more than 360 days.
