I’ll make Nigeria Africa’s agric hub, Tinubu tells unprecedented crowd of APC supporters in Kebbi

A jubilant APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday told an unprecedented crowd of APC supporters in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State capital that he would make Nigeria Africa’s agricultural hub, if elected during the Feb. 25 polls.

“We will replace the violence and weapons in parts of the country with agricultural machinery and further turn around the fortunes of the.state and Nigeria.

“We will work with Kebbi State and effectively manage the economy of the country.

“I have a lot of friends here and I cherish that bond. It has been long and we should stay united.

“We are doing our best for this country and Governor Atiku Bagudu is doing his best for this state. Atiku is a good man,”the Jagaban Gwandu added.

The APC presidential flag bearer further noted that Kebbi has been one of the largest rice producers in Africa.

He vowed to revive the economic cooperation between Lagos and Kebbi States and initiate moves to rejuvenate the economies of the two states and the nation at large.

Tinubu also commended President Muhammadu Buhari for giving his best to Nigeria and Atiku for doing same to Kebbi State.

He acknowledged the invaluable contributions of the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN and the retinue of esteemed citizens of the state to the national growth and development.

Tinubu said that Kebbi State was indispensable to the political ecosystem in Nigeria, promising to give his best to the economy of the nation.

He also promised to revamp the fishery industry in Argungu, as well as initiate robust agro-allied firms across the country.

The APC presidential candidate further promised to come up with efficient farmers’ cooperative societies to enable farmers to easily access agricultural financing.

Tinubu also hailed the people of the state for their show of love and patriotism to APC, urging them to shun what he calls lies of some “political bankrupts.”

He said: “We are here not to campaign but to tell you our hearts. We will bring more development to Nigeria and Kebbi State.

“Get hold of your PVCs and go out en masse on the election days and vote for APC candidates from top to bottom.

“Show them who controls Kebbi. Show them you are courageous and great.”

Also speaking, the Chairman of APC Governors’ Forum and Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu commended the people of the state for trooping to the state Capital to be part of the epic rally.

Bagudu expressed optimism that the historic event showed the hand writing on the wall that APC would record landslide victories during the forthcoming polls.

APC governorship candidate, Dr Nasiru Idris,Kauran Gwandu also concurred with Bagudu’s heroic submissions, saying, ” the mammoth crowd is an indication of hope.

“The combination of Tinubu and Shettima is an extraordinary one as both were former Governors and former Senators.

“Kebbi is wholly APC and we are proud with the glaring achievements of Bagudu of which I will consolidate upon.

“President Muhammadu Buhari is also doing a marvelous job for Nigeria,” Idris said.

In his remarks, Abubakar Malami, SAN, the Minister of Justice expressed optimism that Tinubu would succeed Buhari to sustain the myriad of achievements of the APC-led administration in the last eight years.

Malami noted the massive Infrastructural development in Nigeria and Kebbi State being championed by Buhari and Bagudu.

He said ,”it’s pay back home, so come out en masse during the polls and cast your votes for APC candidates at all levels.”

The State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Kana also appreciated the tremendous show of love and support to the party by the people of the state.

“Please kindly translate these to massive votes for APC on the election days,”Kana passionately appealed.

Earlier, the National Chairman of APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the Director General of the Presidential Campaign Council, Governor of Plateau State, Simong Lalong, the wife of Kebbi State Governor, Hajiya Aishatu Atiku Bagudu and the Director General of Kebbi State APC campaign Council, Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari, former Governor of Kebbi State all solicited for support to APC candidates.

They called on people of the state and the country in general to vote for APC from top to bottom.

The Presidential Campaign Council DG, Governor of Plateau State, Simong Lalong commended Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu who is the women Zonal Coordinator North West Zone, APC Presidential Campaign Council for her support to Tinubu/Shatima campaign rally.

Highlights of the colourful event was the presentation of three big fish to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, APC presidential candidate by the Fish Sellers Association of Kebbi State.

Earlier, the APC presidential campaign team paid courtesy visit to the Emir of Gwandu , Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar, Chairman Kebbi State Council of chiefs to seek for fatherly blessing.
