Gratuity: Gombe Governor assures improved welfare of retired civil servants

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has assured his administration commitment to improve the plights of retired civil servants who have given all their youthful years to the service of their fatherland.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya, gave the assurance at the flagged off of the phase two, payment of another tranche of outstanding gratuity to retired civil servants in Gombe State.

The Governor who represented by the Secretary to the State Government SSG, Professor Abubakar Njodi, who described the exercise as well come development that improve the living standard of retired civil servants in the state.

While congratulating the retired civil servants in the state for their patient and understanding, the governor urged them to maintain the tempo as government would sources other ways to settle all the entitlement.

Earlier, the state Auditor-General Muhammad Buba Gombe, commended the effort of governor Inuwa Yahaya, for given the approval to released 775 million naira for the payment of retirees benefit from January to December, 2015.
