The reality of Dass bye election which was very tough for both APC and PDP, but finally the APC Opposition political party in the state emerged victory of the election.

The APC’s victory didn’t suprise me because there are some factors that led to defeated of the candidate imposed by the Incumbent Government of the State.

The main factor that led to to the victory of APC in the election is the electoral process, which was conducted by the federal INEC, not by the State electoral commission where the Governor have the power to manipulate the election.

For example, the state Governments are usually using the State electoral commission as instrument for manipulating the Local Government Election in every state in the country. like what exactly happened in the recent Local Government Election in Bauchi state which was won by the PDP in all the 20 LGAs state, but what recently happened in Dass shows the strength of the Federal electoral commission.

Therefore no matter what happened should not solely depends on the Incumbency for winning the election in the forthcoming General election.

The recent victory of the APC at Dass has neither determined the strength of the party, nor shows the weakness of the PDP for winning the 2023 Governotorial elections, reason being that winning the 1 lawmaker out of 31 or winning the 1 local Government out of 20 would never be a reason for determining the vote out of the incumbent Government. This is Because all the polical gladiators of both parties in the state were in Dass to support the victory. Unlike in the General election where every political elites concentrates on his/her own area.

In 2018 Senatorial Bye election in Bauchi State which the Incumbent Government defead PDP, the victory of APC at Bauchi Senatorial bye election was what led them to miscalculate the General election, which the APC gives hope for winning the 2019 Governotorial election, but the result was quite different to their perception. Despite the APC’s victory in presidential election and national assembly election which APC won all the 3 Senatorial seats in the state and 10 House of Representatives seats never thought that they could win the Governotorial election as perceived by the APC’s in 2019 in the state.

Governor Bala’s determination for winning the 2023 Governotorial seat for reelection has 60% certainty of victory, especially with a wide infrastructural Development all over the State within a short period of time.

Indeed Governor Bala’s achievement is damnedest thing I ever Saw within the short period of time. Governor Bala has a massive support of electorates in the state. But there are big problems that can cause a defeat to the incumbent Governor if care is not taken. For instance, the issue of nepotism in his Admistration where his family were said to have dominated all the affairs of the Goverment in the state could lead to his defeat.

Another factor is the miss handling of civil servants of the state whereby the payment of salaries and welfare of the civil servants are not guaranteed, some civil servants owe salary for several months.

Many people are curious about the outcomes of the Dass Bye election being a very tough battle between Dogara and kaura which finally Dogara’s candidate defeated Governor Bala’s candidate of people Democratic Party (PDP).

Dogara has utmost power over electorates in his constituency been a good representative that has political will over the Development of the area. But it is believed that the influence of Dogara is restricted to only work in Dass, Tafawabalewa and Bogoro.

Finally, Before Governaor Bala succede in the 2023 forthcoming General Election, he must continue with the Good work which he starting and ensure divedands of Democracy is realize and actualize in the state and should have a listening ears the Good advises from experts, Royal father’s and Patriotic political elites of the state.

For APC to clinch the victory in the forthcoming election, they must be initiating programs that would immensely Develop the state, being a party with majority of the legislature in the federal and state House of Assembly.
