The Bauchi State Youth Stakeholders Forum on Friday denied the purported programme titled “A Grand Endorsement of APC presidential candidate, Tinubu/Kashim and gubernatorial candidate in Bauchi, Air Marshal/Barde as the choice of members of the forum in the 2023 general elections.

National Chairman of the forum, Comrade Abdurrahman Shuaibu in a press statement issued to journalists in Bauchi, said the legitimate leadership of the forum has taken necessary steps to ensure that the culprits face legal action.

“With humongous dismay and grievances in our hearts that we notice some youths parading themselves as well claiming, and enforcing themselves as the leaders of Bauchi State Youth Stakeholders Forum trying to use the name of our forum to make personal interest through the endorsement of some candidates in the name of entire youth of the state without our knowledge as the legitimate leaders and pioneer founders of the forum.

“The legitimate leadership of this great forum are however, going to follow a legal way for the necessary action to ensure that the culprit face the law. We appeal to security agencies to intervene with immediate effect for peace to reign among the youth, general public and the state at large by stopping this programme as scheduled on Sunday 2nd October, 2022 by 10:00am at Double 4 International Conference Centre.

“It is pertinent to note that the Bauchi State Youth Stakeholders Forum was formed since 2021 and obtained its certificate of registration on 17th march, 2022 in the Bauchi State Ministry of Youth and Sport Development with structure for the state executives down to 20 Local Government with the membership of over 1.3 million youths who are loyal to the forum. The aim of the forum was to enlighten the youth, organizing symposium, conferences, seminar and campaign awareness that will bring unity and progress in the society.”
