CHAPTER SIX
His bossom friend and colleague, Khalid went close to him and whispered to his ears, “I think this meeting need to be adjourned, you should take some rest now”.
Khaleel just hissed and stood up then left. Khalid had to apologize to the rest and luckily he was able to convince them to reschedule the meeting.
“He knew if Khaleel had remained in that meeting, he would transfer that aggression to everyone sitted there”.
“Khaleel what was that all about”? Khalid asked him when he came into the office and met him murmuring words to himself.
“What was what, didn’t you see the nuisance she created in there”? Khaleel quickly replied his question with question.
“Seriously you have to work on your attitude, it does not suit you at all”…….I mean she is a married woman, you shouldn’t have reacted the way you did. ‘Khalid cautioned him but it seems whatever he said just fell on deaf ears’.
“You know what! Please leave, you have overstayed your welcome”. Khaleel said with no atom of remorse and Khalid stared strangely at him.
“Khaleel are you asking me out of your office because of this”? He marveled.
“Yes I am………what will you do about it”? Khaleel asked him too but this time around sounding faintly.
“Spare me that, I will leave but just know this isn’t the right thing to do”. Khalid said before heading out.
Khaleel hissed again and kept spinning his chair continuously.
“This woman just spoilt my mood wallahi, I wonder why she has to put up such act in there, it’s obvious she is over exploiting her freedom but I know exactly what to do about that”.

Farida left the company with her mind not at ease. The ride to the hospital is a long one but due to the speed, she got there just in time.
She did not park well before alighting from the car and went straight to enquire where the ICU was situated from the receptionist.
She was still there when the nurse maid came to her. The look on her face shows everything wasn’t right at all.
“She took few steps forward and the nurse maid hugged her crying”.
She quickly pulled her away and asked, “where is umma”?
The nurse maid just pointed at a door at the extreme end of the lobby. Farida did not hesitate to rush there. She could see through the transparent glass window what was going on in the ICU.
“At the sight of the condition Umma was, she got chills all over her and goose bumps grew in their hundreds”.
Her nose sniffs could be heard from afar. She couldn’t stop crying even when she tried to.
“She felt a touch on her shoulder, on raising her head, she saw her husband standing right before her eyes”.
The nurse maid had given him a call too.
She bursted into an emotional cry and hugged him. He held her tight and patted her back calmly. She released herself and faked a smile.
“Don’t worry babe, just pray for her and she will be fine”. Bello said and rolled his eyes.
He brought out a handkerchief from his pocket and wiped off the tears saying, “this tears just ruined your makeup, now you look more like a beast”.
She smiled and hit him on his chest then said, ‘and you look like the husband of a beast’.
“Ouch that hurts”………….he uttered covering his chest with his hands.

The nurse maid and Sufyan came interrupting them.
“Aunty Farida, when will umma wake up from sleep”? Sufyan asked innocently.
Before she could say a word, Bello chipped in.
“Come here”, he said to him and opened his hands wide to receive him.
Sufyan went and gave him a massive hug. Bello bent his head and whispered to his ears. Whatever he might have told him must be something good because a smile graced his chin.
He gave Bello a high five and turned to look at Farida.
“What”! She asked raising her shoulders and eye brows.
“It’s a secret” Sufyan said and they all laughed.
“Well am good at keeping secrets sha” Farida said contorting her face.
Someone wants to force words out of our mouths………..”Bello said and winked at her”.
“Whatever” She shrugged.
They were like that when Dr Hassan came out of the ICU seating profusely.
Take Sufyan home, we will be back shortly. Bello said to the nurse maid and they left.
“Meet me in my office, the doctor said and walked away wiping off sweats from his forehead”.
“Farida glanced at Bello who in turned smiled and held her by the waist as they followed the doctor”………..
