Bauchi senator inaugurates N850m rural roads

Senator Shehu Buba of Bauchi South Senatorial District has flagged off the construction of 2.5 kilometres rural roads designed to boost rural access and agricultural marketing and improve the residents’ livelihoods.

Speaking during the occasion conducted in Zaranda Village of Toro local government on Saturday, Senator Babu who is also the Chairman Senate Committee on National Security and Intelligence explained that the 850 million naira road project is part of his constituency project as captured and approved in the 2024 budget.

He added that, “850 naira is committed to the project the construction is to be implemented in the timeline of four weeks to provide sustainable access roads in rural areas, thereby facilitating agricultural activities and enhancing economic opportunities for the rural populace.”

“It is a complement to my duty as a senator. During the electioneering process, the people of Zaranda have tabled the complaints of the road to me which process to proceed before the senate.”

He maintained that “Today’s flagged off is a manifestation of the promise I made for you. By the grace of almighty Allah I will make happen all other promises come rain, come shine no matter the needless distraction and turbulence.

“In the light of this historical development, this official flagged off the 2.5 kilometres of road in Zaranda is a tip of the iceberg in the catalogues of the program we intend to carry out to the people of Bauchi South Senatorial District.

Senator Babu also expressed his commitment to providing similar developmental stride in other parts of the Bauchi South Senatorial District.

According to him, there are other two roads projects approved through the ecological funds to be award soon.

He hinted more projects such as “70 hand pumps, 15 water solar, 200 light solar and renovation of many schools in about three local government areas.

“Others are renovations of hospitals and different kinds of empowerment to my constituents.”

Senator Shehu Buba emphasized that regardless of political party sentiments his projects are made to benefit all constituents of Bauchi South Senatorial District.
