The Forum of Kebbi State Special Advisers has praised Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, for organizing peaceful, free, fair, transparent and credible local government elections in the state, held on the 31st August, 2024.

The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, made clean sweep of the polls, winning all the 21 LG chairmanship seats and 225 Councillors in the state, declared by the State Independent Electoral Commission, KESIEC.

The Forum’s Chairman, Alhaji Kabiru Sani Giant, who is the Special Adviser to the Governor on Power and Politics, made the commendation after the quarterly meeting of the Forum in Birnin Kebbi this Tuesday.

He remarked that after assessing the political developments in Kebbi on the elections, members of the Forum unanimously commended the governor for providing KESIEC with the necessary support to conduct all inclusive, free, fair and peaceful elections throughout the 21 LGAs where the APC recorded resounding victory.

Giant also mentioned that members have passed a vote of confidence on the Governor’s development projects and empowerment initiative, particularly the disbursement of 6.5 billion Naira in financial support to 65,000 beneficiaries across the 21 LGAs in the state, N100,000 to each recipient.

According to him, the Advisers will continue to support the Governor in his unwavering efforts to transform the state and bring relief to its people.

“The Governor has achieved so much in just one year to change the narrative, enhance the living conditions of our people, and promote food production through the massive distribution of free fertilizer and other farm inputs, as well as the distribution of assorted grains as palliatives,” he said.

He called on the people of the state to continue rallying around the Governor, pray for the success of the incumbent administration, and maintain peace in the state.

Other matters discussed at the meeting include, strengthening the unity of members, the Forum’s empowerment drive, and strategies to foster a harmonious working relationship among the members, commissioners, and party officials for the overall development of Kebbi state.
