Mammoth crowd receives APC gubernatorial candidate in Jega, Argungu

Thousands of APC supporters among them women, men and children have staged a rousing welcome for APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu and the campaign team led by the DG campaign Council, former Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari .

APC supporters in their thousands on Sunday thronged the campaign venues in Jega and Argungu to demonstrate their support and have a glimpse of APC candidates .

Addressing thousands of APC supporters in Jega, Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, the governorship candidate of the party thanked them sincerely for coming out to receive them.

The massive crowd according to him was a strong indication that Jega belongs to the APC fold .

He informed the crowd that he had held a fruitful discussion with Jega bussinessmen operating in Kano and elsewhere.

Kauran Gwandu assured that if voted into power, he would do his best to improve trade and commerce for people of Jega, an area known for business.

He equally promised youths and women of initiating empowerment programmes to make them self reliant.

” If elected In sha Allah, Jega Local Government will be the first local Government in Kebbi State I will initiate financial empowerment in order to promote your bussness,” he assured.

He appealed to people of the area to vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for President and all APC candidates.

In the same vein, Kauran Gwandu thanked hundreds of APC supporters in Argungu, dismissing insinuation that Argungu is for PDP.

”They have been saying that Argungu is for PDP, but today I have seen the contrary, Argungu is for APC’, he averred.

He assured them that if elected as the next Governor of Kebbi State, people of Argungu would benefit immensely from empowerment programmes particularly women and youths .

Kaura renewed his call on the electorate to massively vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kashim Shatima and all APC candidates.

The DG campaign Council , Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari, former Governor of Kebbi State thanked the people for their loyalty and support to the party.

Dakingari extolled the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu as a man of respect, honesty and goodwill.

He called on the people to vote for him and all APC candidates.

Earlier, Governor of Kebbi State, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu led the APC campaign team on a courtesy visit to Sarkin Kabin Jega, Alhaji Muhammadu Arzika Bawa to seek for fatherly blessing to the party.

The campaign team later paid courtesy visit to the District Head of Alwasa, and Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Ismaila Muhammadu Mera where he payed for the success of Kauran Gwandu and all APC candidates.

The royal father also appealed to politicians to avoid politics of bitterness and character assassination.

Highlights of the event in Argungu included presentation of decampees who joined the party from PDP and PRP.
