The ongoing Kebbi APC campaign rally has been held in Augie, headquarters of Augie local Government this Sunday to solicit for support from the electorate.
The campaign team was welcomed by hundreds of party supporters at the campaign rally where youths and women groups including fishermen and camel riders thronged the venue chanting slogan of the party declaring their support to APC.
The APC Chairman of Augie Local Government Area, Bashir Isah Mera, Yariman Mera in his welcome address to the gathering thanked people of Augie for their show of support.
He said Augie local government has always been the home of APC.
Mera declared that Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu,CON has done so well in the area of roads construction and other projects which have direct bearing on the lives of people.
He lamented the failure of the past PDP Government to carry out developmental projects in the area, saying that Bagudu has rescued the people of Augie from underdevelopment.
The chairman promised that all APC candidates would get the support of Augie people in the 2023 elections .
The Hon. Commissioner of Finance, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad Augie also expressed delight with the large turn out of people at the venue.
He thanked Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for the myriads of developmental projects in the area and expressed confidence the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu and all APC candidates would emerge triumphant at the polls.
The Commissioner announced that Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has approved the electrification projects of villages in the area and work would commence soon.
Speaking at the event, the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Babale Umar Yauri, mni also thanked the people of Augie for their mass turn out to support APC.
‘ This is a sign that you love APC and I pray that you will do the same at the polls to vote for all our candidates particularly, Kauran Gwandu,’ he averred.
He charged the people to vote for Kauran Gwandu to ensure continuity of developmental projects already started by Governor Bagudu and the former Governor, Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari.
Babale appealed to people of Augie to collect their PVCs and vote for APC.
Hajiya Aishatu Gunabi, State APC women leader appreciated women of Augie for their support. She appealed to women to vote APC from top to bottom.
Gunabi cautioned women against use of henna decoration few days to the election on their fingers to guard against unable to be captured by BVAS.
The Speaker Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rtd Hon. Sani Muhammad Lolo lauded Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu at the event for giving the legislators opportunity to embark on constituency projects in their areas.
He called on people to vote for all APC candidates from top to bottom.
Other Speakers at the program include APC Senatorial candidate, Kebbi North, retired Comptroller of Customs, Federal Operations, Dr. Hussaini Suleiman Kangiwa,Hon. Tijjani Yakubu, State House of member representing Augie, Alhaji Sani Hukuma Zauro, Chairman APC Elders Forum and Alhaji Yakubu Augie .
Highlights of the event was presentation of APC candidates by the State party Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Kana Zuru to the hundreds of APC supporters in Augie.
Earlier, the campaign team made a stop over at the palace of Lamnin Augie, the District Head of Augie, Alhaji Adamu Samaila where they also met other District Heads, Lamnin Kwaido, Alhaji Umar Dobi,Lamnin Yola, Alhaji Adamu Muhammad, Muzan Bayawa, Murtala Muhammad Kola, Sarkin Sudan Tiggi, Alhaji Musa Yusuf Alkali and Alhaji Muazu Kaka,Muzan Bubuce to seek for fatherly blessing.
The Deputy DG campaign Council, retired deputy comptroller general of Customs, Abubakar Gari Malam (Shatiman Gwandu and the APC gubernatorial candidate running mate Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida sought for royal prayers for APC candidates.
Senator Abubakar Umar Tafida, gubernatorial running mate told the royal fathers that the Kauran Gwandu, Dr. Nasir Idris and the DG campaign Council ,Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari former Governor of Kebbi State could not join them because of official engagement in Abuja.
