Zazzau Emir Tasks Youth To Champion Cause Of Peace Revival, Security

Emir of Zazzau, Amb.Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli has tasked youth to champion the cause of reviving peaceful coexistence and contribute their quta towards enhanced security and national development.

He made the appeal while receiving on courtesy call the leadership of a Non Government Organization, “Young People General Assembly” who paid him courtesy visit at his palace in Zaria.

The Emir who described youth as vanguard of positive development, urged the NGO to continue to evolve ways of assisting their immediate community.

He called on them to initiate viable programmes and projects that will uplift the socio-economic and political status of the society, while asking them to engage in ventures to promote national growth.

Earlier, the National President, Young People General Assembly, Eng.Daniel Ebri said they were at the Emir’s palace to seek for royal blessings and intimate him on activities of the assembly.

Eng.Ebra stated that the assembly is aimed at encouraging youth towards a better lives, adding that seminars, conferences and workshops are organized to sensitise youths and build their capacity.

The National President told the Emir that the assembly which has a national in outlook, is non political, non tribal and non religious has also inaugurated it’s new executives members in Kaduna state.

Also Commenting, the National Secretary, Mohammed Sani enjoined youth to participate in active politics so as to change the narrative of the present time.

He frowned at the negative behaviours engaged by the youth especially during electioneering campaigns where they comprises their integrity and relegate themselves to mere thugs and miscreants.

He said such attitude were some of the social evils the assembly intends to change in youth for better future.

Also speaking, the chairman, Kano state chapter of the association, Kabir Sanusi Nasarawa identified youth as driving force of national economy, hence the need to bring them together to harness their potentials for national development.

Kabir Nasarawa pledged to collaborate with any peace building and development oriented organizations towards achieving the set goal.

The Kaduna state chairman who was represented by his Secretary said the state chapter Intends to organize a Youth Summit to address burning issues of insecurity.

He said youth as driving force of peace sustainace need to be adequately educated on Leadership promotion, social economy and peace building for the country to thrive to greater height.

Officials of the Youth Assembly later presented a portrait to the Emir as a symbol of respect and appreciation to his immense contributions to youth development.
