Zaria Catholic Rev. Stressed need for continuous use of seminary for youth reformation

The Diocesan Administrator of Zaria Catholic Diocese Very Rev. Father Michael Pius Kagarko said Seminary is doing profer formation to formed someone physically, mentally and spiritually in order to become leaders of tomorrow.

He stated this at the vSt. Joseph’s Minor Seminary Zaria, Speech and Price Giving Day ceremony, held at the weekend.

Rev. Kagarko said, despite the security challenges but parents choose to send their children to Seminary school to be trained for them to become something in life.

The Administrator called for wider awareness to outsiders that they should send their children to school as the rumours about the school is not true.

While advising the outgoing students to let those outside the school about the progress so far achieved by the school academically and discipline wise.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the occasion Mr. Augustine Orga charged the other stakeholders and philanthropist to come forward and uplift the school dilapidated structures to a befitting edifice before the 60th anniversary of the school comes 2024.

Mr. Orga promised to be part of the anniversary of God spear his life and pray he will be in attendance.

The Chairman of the occasion advised the outgoing students to be good Ambassadors of the school by exibiting high sense of discipline and commitment to any assigned responsibility they may find themselves in future.

He said, the sky is their limit as their journey has just began in the learning process despite completing the Six years Secondary education.

Also in his remarks, the Chairman Parents Teachers Association (PTA) Mr.Joseph Nashakyaa call on government at all levels to urgently renovate, upgrade all facilities at the educational institutions to standard for quality education.

Mr. Nashakyaa advised both parents and students to always consider their fellow students who are not educationally sound like them but they can be better han them in another way round.

The PTA Chairman commended the management and the parents for making the ceremony a very big success despite numerous challenges.

The Special Guest of Honour Dr. Williams Maina Tarfa congratulate the school management for success recorded in transforming the school to it’s glorious position.

Dr. Tarfa said St. Joseph’s Minor Seminary has now become a role model and the track record of academic excellent has since surfaces in the educational cycle.

Earlier in his welcome speech the Rector of the school Very Rev. Fr. Istifanus M. Katung said the school has been transformed academically and in discipline.

Fr. Katung said the school management with the support from the untiring staff things going accordingly.

He call for collective efforts to improve and provide more infrastructures in the school to enable the students have a condusive atmosphere for learning.

During the ceremony, new Prefects were presented, prizes were distributed to the deserving students and lunch a fund raising towads the development of the school.
