Yobe State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service says a new Controller of Corrections has been posted to the Command.

He is Ali Isah.

A signed statement by ASC Haruna Isa of the Public Relations Unit,
Nigerian Correctional Service, Yobe State, says the new Controller has assumed duty at the Command Headquarters’ office, Damaturu today, Monday, 31st August, 2020.

Mr Isah will serve as the 2nd Controller of Corrections in the state, since the time Nigerian Prisons Service was changed to Nigerian Correctional Service in 2019.

Until his present posting, Isa was a Directing Staff at the Correctional Staff College, Barnawa, Kaduna, the statement said.

He has formally taken over from Isah Sabo Kashuri, who has been re-deployed to Bauchi State Command, following the recent re-deployment of senior officers of the service by the Controller General of Corrections, Ja’afaru Ahmed.

The command urges the good people of Yobe State to accord the new Controller of Corrections the necessary support in ensuring that the service achieves its statutory goals of reforming, rehabilitating and reintegrating offenders to become better citizens.
