WAEC 2021: Governor Bello Matawalle approves the release of One Hundred Million Naira to WAEC for Zamfara Students

Zamfara State Governor Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle has approved the Release of one hundred million Naira (100,000,000) to the West African Examinations Council WAEC as payment to enable Zamfara students write 2021 Examination.

The down payment of the one hundred million Naira is part of settlement of the present Administration’s obligation to WAEC in favour of Zamfara State indigenes for the 2021 Examinations.

The Governor expressed appreciation of his administration to the Honourable Minister of Education and WAEC Secretariat for their understanding and concern to education in the state despite the huge backlogs owed WAEC by the State Government inherited from the past administration.

Governor Matawalle noted with satisfaction the support of the Federal Ministry of Education to the state Government, pointing out that, the ministry has supported the state by giving all the required considerations to the teeming candidates of Zamfara State for WAEC not only to release their results, but also allow them to sit for subsequent examinations.

He said his Administration will continue to meet its obligations as part of Measures to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people, especially the young generation through the provision of sound education to them.

Accordingly, the Governor reitrated that education being the catalyst for achieving greatness is recieving topmost priority by the present Administration, which is why the state Government immediately released the payment of one hundred million Naira down payment to WAEC.

The effort will certainly give a peace of mind to many candidates and parents in the state, he added.
