University Don tasks scholars on quality research, publications for socio-economic development

The Executive Vice chairman and Chief executive, National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, Professor Muhammad Sani Haruna has stressed the need for Academicians to imbibe the culture of scholarly publication to promote socio economic development of communities.

Professor Muhammad Sani Haruna stated this during public presentation of four books in Zaria.

He explained that if academicians would write on issues facing their communities it would reduce the hardship been faced by citizens.

He added that publications on vocational education among others would encourage the younger generations to became self reliant Education that is of limited impact.

Professor Haruna stressed the need to strategize on the
reduction of fake certificates from Cotonou in Benin Republic because of
prioritization of degrees instead of skill

He called for the harmonization of Nigerian union in the universities under one umbrella to work as a team .

He also advocated that
University Salary Structure and indeed of all Tertiary Institutions be
decentralised in such a way that lecturers are paid for productivity hours.

The Emir of Zazzau Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli called on individuals to support the development of education across the country.

Malam Ahmed Nuhu advised Kaduna state government to declare emergency on the education sector.

In an interview the writer of the four books Professor Aminu Ladan Sharehu said he made publication of four books to give his contributions to the nation building and sustainable development of the country.

Professor Ladan charged the younger ones to imbibe the culture of reading and writing to face global challenges.

Reviewers of the books were of the opinion that all the books have direct impact to the lives of citizens sustainability of country’s integrity, nation building and improving socio economic development of citizens especially education sector.

Hundreds of friends, well wishers and family members attended the books presentation and award of excellence to congratulate the author of the books, Professor Aminu Ladan sharehu.
