Tambuwal tasks new Kware District Head to foster unity and maintain legacy of the throne

Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has called on the new District Head of Kware, Malam Muhammmadu Dan Iya to use his talent and experience to promote unity and brotherhood among his subjects.

Governor Tambuwal made the plea on Thursday when he received the new District Head, his family members and village heads of the area at Government House, Sokoto

He said the appointment of Dan Iya was based on merit having served as a traditional ruler for so many years, thus
urging him to maintain the existing unity among his family.

Appealing to him to maintain the legacy of the throne, the governor reiterated that the position of Sarkin Yamma has a historical background in the leadership scheme of Sokoto Caliphate.

The governor congratulated him on his new appointment and prayed to Allah to guide him in the discharge of his new assignment.

Speaking earlier the new District Head of Kware said they were at the Government House to thank the governor over his appointment as Sarkin Yamman Kware.

He pledged his support and cooperation to the policies and programmes of the government, while praying to Allah to bless and reward the governor abundantly.

He also said he will carry everybody along in the discharge of his duty.

The New District Head of Kware, a direct descendant of Shehu Usman Danfodio, leader of the Islamic Reawakening in the 18th century, is also the father of the current state Deputy Governor.
