Members of Igbo community in Bauchi have lauded the Supreme Court judgement that declared Bala Mohammed of Bauchi duely elected and winner of the 2023 Gubernatorial Elections in the state.

President General of the community, High Chief Ignatuis Ifemenem gave the salutation in a chat with our correspondent recently.

The PG believes that the Supreme Court victory is an attestation that the Governor was destined to rule the state and enjoyed the support of the masses.

He however called on the Governor to extend his warm handshake to the Igbo Community as the highest non indigen residents in the community yearning to directly be carried along in government.

The community PG argued that their numerical strength made them contribute a lot to the success of the Governor and they are not asking for much other than to be engaged actively.

He said that their direct engagement will bring their noble idea and innovation which will take the state to a higher level developmentally speaking.

High Chief Ifemenem believed that the Governor will have nothing to lose than to gain if they are duely involved in the affairs of the state.

Also Speaking, the Public Relation officer of the community Emmanuel Nnadozie (Ọjà ndị Enugu) specifically lauded the Governor as a man of his word and expressed hope that his victory will encourage him to extend hand of fellowship and partnership to the Igbo Community who are willing to work with him.
