Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has reaffirmed his commitment to completing abandoned road projects in Southern Kaduna within a few months.

He made the pledge at the Southern Kaduna Annual Festival held in Kafanchan, Jama’a Local Government Area of the state.

For over five years, the annual festivals celebrated by the 66 diverse ethnic groups in Southern Kaduna had been suspended due to insecurity.

However, with the emergence of the current administration at both the state and national levels, relative peace has returned to the area, allowing the people to once again celebrate their annual festivals.

Governor Sani, accompanied by the governors of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, and Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, pledged to complete both abandoned and new developmental projects in the region.

Participants, including sons and daughters of the region who travelled from far and near, emphasised the importance of culture as a powerful tool for fostering peace and unity in society.

The event brought together diverse ethnic groups from Kaduna and neighbouring states of Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, and others, who showcased their cultural heritage to promote peace and unity across Nigeria.
