Sokoto State PDP Governorship Candidate in the 2023 general elections, Mallam Saidu Umar FCNA has received a massive endorsement from residents of the largest ward in Sokoto state, ‘Waziri B ward’. Mallam Ubandoma who was in the area today for a book launch organised by the Waziri B Youth Solidarity For Ubandoma/ Sagir Door 2 Door Campaign, was accosted by cheering resident who troop out enmasse as his motorcade drove along the ancient buildings of Bazzah upto the heart of the contiguous Gidadawa area.
Basking in the euphoria of the rousing welcome, Mallam Ubandoma stated that he was not surprised with the spontaneous turnout of people, because historically Waziri B ward is well known to always identify with the good side of politics in the state. He assured residents that Sokoto State under his watch if given the mandate, will condolidates on the gains of the present administration.
He reiterated that the core focus of his administration if voted is to see that women and youths are carried along in different spheres of lives. ” Youth and women will be included in governance, and party affairs. Adding that, women and youths will benefit through empowerment projects and skills acquisition programmes that will be initiated across the state.
On the area of education; Mallam Ubandoma said his administration will continue with the feat recorded by the present administration, and assures to invest more to meet the demands and needs of the future generations. He averred that the challenges are God willing surmountable as his joint ticket with Hon Sagir Attahiru Bafarawa has all the working instruments for moving Sokoto forward.
In their separate remarks; Hon Abdullahi Maigwandu said from the mammoth crowd that came out to receive the Gubernatorial Candidate, is indicative of the overwhelming support the PDP enjoys in the area. Hon Maigwandu, a party chieftain, who is also the Commissioner of the Ministry for Local Government Affairs promises by God willing the area will deliver its large chunk of votes to the PDP.
While making his points, the PDP Chairman in Sokoto North LG, Alh Bello Maikarfi assured Mallam Ubandoma, and all the candidates of PDP at different level that the Local Government will record a landslide victory in the 2023 elections by the grace of Almighty God. Others at the book launch include the Secretary to the Sokoto State Government, Muhammad Mainasara Ahmad Mni, and the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Animal Health and Fisheries Development, Prof. Abdulkadir Usman Junaidu.
Others were Sokoto North LG Chairman, Mustapha Shehu Sokoto, Hon. Member Representing Sokoto North I, Buhari Yerima, PDP Sokoto Central Zonal Secretary, Hon. Mustapha Lanas, Hon Special Advisers to the Governor, Hon. Aminu Ibrahim No Delay, Nura Harande Mahe, and Ibrahim Bello Dan Haja. Alh Kasimu Ummarun Kwabo, Alh Shehu Lanas, among others.
