SABUWAR KASUWA INFERNO: Governor Bala directs release of funds for victims

Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, accompanied by top government officials visited the scene of the Sabuwar Kasuwa inferno.

Governor Bala, who sympathized with the victims, directed for the release of instant funds for assistance.

He assured the victims of his administration’s plan to modernize markets across the State, adding that the State Government will consider restructuring the Sabuwar Kasuwa.

Governor Bala, while sympathizing with the victims, urged them to consider the incident as an act of Allah.

Earlier speaking, a Director at the Bauchi State Emergency Management Agency, Kabiru Yusuf Kobi said over 25 shops were affected as a result of the inferno, which burnt to ashes properties worth millions of naira.

Kobi said the SEMA has conducted an assessment of the loss for proper intervention.
