The New Media Unit of the Information and Publication Directorates, Bauchi State House of Assembly, has announced that Nigerian social media influencers have recognized the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y. Suleiman with the prestigious Award of Excellence as the Best Legislator of the Year in Nigeria and Bauchi Man of the Year 2024.
This recognition highlights his dedication to the legislative process, which remains a cornerstone of democracy and governance.
Since the establishment of Bauchi State’s legislative system in 1979 under the first democratic Governor, Alhaji Tatari Ali, the state has relied on committed lawmakers to advance its democratic ideals.
