Relocation of Waste Dumping Site: DG BASEPA meets community and Market leaders

The Director General BASEPA Dr. Ibrahim Kabir MNES, FSEPH, FIICA had an interactive meeting with Ilelah/Fada, Tura Titin Fada community leaders and the sorrounding neighborhoods and Markets leadership.

The meeting is to discuss among other things the issue of relocating a Waste dumping site behind Bauchi Central Mosque along Ilelah Street and to also ban dumping of waste on the streets of the neighborhood.

The Director General said the meeting is to inform the gathering that the newly constructed Collection centre at Ilelah will be put into use and to also request for their support in the areas of enlightenment for the successful implement the policy.

He also said the idea is part of the Agency’s plan for total ban of dumping of waste closed to Mosques, Churches, Schools and or Health Care facilities.

All the community leaders present as well as the sorrounding markets leadership expressed their appreciations for constructing the waste collection center and also promised to support the Agency by enlighting heir people on the importance of abiding with the directives and also suggested that the Agency should also involved the Central mosque’s committee for the success of the exercise.

In attendance at the meeting are the Agency’s Directors, community leaders of Ilelah Kofar Fada, Tura Titin Fada, Chairmen of Sulaman Adamu and Isyaka Jibrin Markets as Fada Roundabout Rice Vendors respectively.
