RCCG Church Build Borehole In Bauchi Community

The Redeemed Christian Church of God House of Mercy, Bauchi Province Region Seventeen, has constructed a borehole to the community of Rugan Jira Doka, a village area of Birshi ward, in Bauchi local government area as part of this year’s Christmas activities.

Speaking yesterday while commissioning the project, the Northeast in-charge of the RCCG, Pastor Julius Olalekan, said the borehole which is part of the Christian social responsibilities of the church, is dedicated to the entire people of the area, in order to alleviate their sufferings in search of portable water.

Pastor Julius Olalekan, remarked that the RCCG in the country, is passionate about the plights of the people, especially at the rural areas, by providing them basic social amenities to improve their livelihood.

He enjoined the community leaders to protect the borehole from vandalization for the benefit of the people.

The clergy man assured that the Redeemed Christian Church of God, would continue to extend its community services across all the twenty local government areas of the state and stressed the need for christians to be law-abiding citizens, and live in peace with host communities, for the development of the nation.

In his remarks, Mr Lawi Simon, who spoke on behalf of the Village Head of Rugan Jira Doka, said water intervention by the church brought to an end their quest for potable water in their community.

He commended the RCCG Bauchi for the giant project, adding that the borehole was provided at the right time, when the people are in dear need of portable water.

He said the village has been in existence for over fifty years, but lack of access road, maternity clinics, schools and social amenities, have remained a major setback to the positive development of the area and appealed to the state government to come to their aids in the areas of livelihood.

Mr Lawi however promised to ensure effective utilization of the borehole, for the benefit of the entire community. He appreciates the RCCG for providing a Borehole in the community. He said the community had suffered for many years from getting potable water.
