The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has clarified that his administration’s planned establishment of additional emirates, chiefdom, and districts is aimed at promoting good governance and development, not to disenfranchise any group.
This was stated during a meeting with renowned Islamic scholar, Sheik Sani Yahaya Jingir, National Chairman of the Council of Ulama, at the Bauchi Government House.
The Governor explained that population growth, demographic changes, and persistent agitations from different groups necessitated the establishment of a high-powered committee to oversee the creation of additional emirates, chiefdom, and districts.
The Governor emphasized that this move would lead to the creation of more village areas, ultimately enhancing governance and service delivery.
He noted that the initiative is designed to address the challenges facing the people and promote sustainable development and progress in the state.
The visitor, Sheik Sani Yahaya Jingir commended Governor Bala Mohammed for his developmental projects and urged the administration to continue carrying everyone along in the scheme of things.
