Police in Adamawa parades 44 criminals terrorising communities, vows to fish out more ailments ahead of 2023 elections

The Commissioner of Police Adamawa State command CP Sikiru Kayode Akande, has appealed to the communities Of Bagale in Fofure Local Government Area of Adamawa to give the command some time to enable it fish out criminals who use the mountainous area as their hideout.

The police boss made the appeal while parading suspected criminals at the police headquarters in Yola Monday.

CP Sikiru Akande said the police in the state will not relent towards making the state free from criminals and criminality.

He pointed out that the command with the assistance of local hunters in the state have apprehended 44 suspected criminals and pledged to sustain the tempo.

Commenting on the challenges that the command faces, the police commissioner said the police want to flush out criminal elements who hide in the bagale mountain in Fofure local government area to perpetrate atrocities such as kidnapping and banditry.

He called for more collaboration with the security agencies through the provision of relevant information to enable them contain the situation.

On the issue of the 2023 general elections, CP Akande disclosed that the command has designed measures and crime detection tactics for a smooth electoral process and ensure the public safety in the state.

The CP charged men and officers of the command to boost the security of the public space to guarantee enabling environment for political campaigns.
