Partners-In-Progress Association (PIPA) a non-political organization in Ningi emirate of Bauchi state, has called on Governor Bala Mohammed to restore the seat of permanent secretary to their Local Government as being enjoyed by its contemporaries.

It however commended the appointment of Alhaji Yahuza Adamu Haruna as the new Head of Service of the state by the government, as well as maintaining the status of two commissioners – Lands & Survey, and Local Government Affairs, and Office of the State Accountant General.

The association in a statement signed by its chairman and secretary, Mohammed Garba Ningi and Yahaya Habu Ningi respectively, expressed satisfaction with the magnanimity of Governor Bala Mohammed led administration.

Ningi explained that their regular monthly congress also stressed the need for the Bauchi state government to hasten the completion of Nasaru-Gwam-Arinja road and Ningi Housing Estate now under construction.

The meeting, according to the statement, described as unfortunate the deplorable state of the College of Administrative and Social Studies, Ningi and reiterated the urgent need to revisit and fastback the formal gazette of the college with a view to giving it new down and progressive outlook.

The association also reviewed with concern, the none implementation of the campaign promise for the dualisation of Ningi highway as promised by Governor Bala Muhammad, and urged him to redeem his pledge of providing dividend of democracy as done to its contemporaries in the state.

The Statement said: “The Meeting –In-Session has also paid tribute to the unfortunate status of the College of Administration and social studies, popularly known as SDI Ningi whose deplorable status in terms of Academic Excellence, leadership quality as well as infrastructural development remain a source of concern to all well-meaning indigenes and well-wishers of the college.”

“The Association has also revisited the proposed location and presence of the Federal Road Safety Corps and that of the State Fire Service Offices in Ningi Town, and expressed concern over the absence of services of these two important safety institutions in the Area, despite the Local Government’s status of 2nd most populated Town or Local Government in Bauchi State and 3rd in the North East.

“The Association therefore called on Governor Bala Muhammad to kindly facilitate the actualisation of these Essential Services in Ningi through the release of the support Funds for the Refurbishment of the safety vehicles and their transmission to Ningi”.
