Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has said his administration will closely collaborate with Gombe state, Federal Government as well as the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited to work in tandem for the benefit of the nation at large.

Mohammed was speaking while welcoming the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammadu Buhari to flag off the official commencement oil drilling in Kolmani Oil Field.

Governor Bala who said the day will be cemented in the memories of Nigerians, will be remembered for heralding the economic prosperity of Bauchi and Gombe states.

He added that his administration is already investing in the area to create a sense of belonging and government presence to reduce poverty and unemployment, saying there is no conflict or tension between the two states.

While commending President Buhari for the support and sportsmanship, Mohammed said Bauchi State Government will continue to support the efforts and policies of the Federal Government to protect lives, properties and promote economic prosperity.

He assured the President of his readiness to sign a collaborative agreement with Gombe, the NNPC Limited as well as local and foreign investors to ensure synergy, efficiency, conflict prevention and management.
