NUBASS: My impeachment unconstitutional, says President.

National Union of Bauchi State Students, NUBASS has described as “untrue and mischievous”, a letter written by the Senate president of the association, which said that, the legislative arm has agreed to impeach the executive President of the association.

A statement signed by the Press Secretary to the NUBASS President, Usman Abdullahi Koli said ” it has come to our notice that, there was a letter going round the campuses of tertiary institutions in Bauchi State, reportedly written by the Senate President of the NUBASS, which stated that the senate committee has agreed to impeach the president of the said association in person of Abdurrahman Shuaibu, the letter as contained said the action came as necessary over an alleged mismanagement of funds by the president”.

The statement, condemned the senate president’s act, which it described as mischievous.

According to the statement, “Erenow, the National Body of the association assures the general public that nothing of such nature happened officially by its senate committee.

It is well known that the so called senate president has exceeded his 365 days in office and he is no longer a student.

Likewise the so called Judicial committee that are parading themselves are not legitimate because they are not the one’s appointed by the former NUBASS National president as instituted in the constitution”

On the allegations made on the president and his Financial Sectary, the statement said “national executive of the union passes vote of confidence on both the accused persons who are not guilty and will never be

It is paramount to note that, while condemning the said letter attached to the impeachment of our dear president . We found it must to inform you about the cordial relationship between the NUBASS National and State chapter executives and members across all institutions in Bauchi and other states.

As a student body of every bonafide Bauchi indigene, the NUBASS in regard to the said efflux, urged the public to disregard this mere false statements against the president”.

We therefore give 24 hours to the perpetrators without hesitation, to follow same way to falsify their statements and make a public apology to the students of Bauchi State for causing dismay, the statement added.
