No more casual Staff in Kebbi civil service – Gov Idris

The Kebbi State Government has phased out the employment of casual staff into the civil service.

Governor Nasir Idris stated this when he paid an unscheduled visit to Kebbi Medical Centre Kalgo, this Tuesday.

He further announced that the government would look into the possibility of obsorbing the existing casual staff into permanent appointment after reappraisal by a committee to be set up by the government.

The Kauran Gwandu expressed concern on the condition of the hospital while being conducted round the facility by the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Nura Kangiwa who briefed the governor about the challenges being faced by the centre.

He gave an assurance that the State Government would look into the request made by the hospital management, reiterating the commitment of his administration to rehabilitating existing hospitals in the state as well as employ more doctors and nurses to address the shortage of manpower being faced in our health institutions.

The governor had earlier paid sympathy visit to Abdullahi Fodio College Birnin Kebbi where one of the students’ hostels was gutted by fire recently.

Governor Nasir idris sympathised with the students and management of the school over the inferno, assuring them that the State Government would rehabilitate the burnt structure.
