Speaking at the colourful event which was attended by Honourable Members of the Bauchi State House of Assembly and an exciting mammoth crowd of people from all parts, the Chairman of the Association Alhaji Ahmadu Mai-munjirya explained that they decided to honour the Speaker as a way of payback for his numerous developmental projects and programmes in the northern part of Ningi and the entire Constituency.

According to him, communities of northern Ningi have been neglected for decades but the Speaker has changed the narrative in which he facilitated the construction of Arinja-Balma road, Nasaru township roads, water projects, schools rehabilitation, among many other.

He added that the people of the area will remain highly indebted to the Speaker and the Governor of Bauchi State for wiping away their tears of many years.

The Chairman stated that the communities will support the present adminstration to reciprocate what is done to them and have decided to collectively endorse the Speaker to contest the seat of member, representing Ningi/Warji Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives so as to continue bring more developments to the people.

In their various speeches, former member of the Bauchi State House of Assembly Hon. Abba Saleh Balma, Chiroman Dingis Alhaji Munkaila Isah, former Executive Chairman of Ningi Local Government Alhaji Danlami Garba Bara’u commended the Speaker for his quality representation which is transforming the Constituency, the State and the Country in general.

While describing his tenure as a blessing to entire Ningi Emirate, they assured him their support in whatever position he will aspire in 2023 and in whatever party, saying people are now wiser to vote people of proven quality and integrity, whatever party they belong.

They also commended the Speaker and all members of the State Assembly for working in synergy with the Executive Governor of Bauchi State His Excellency Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammad despite their party differences which translate to uncommon transformation in the State.

However, they urged the Speaker to defect to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) so as to put heads together and stronger with the Governor in order to bring more development to the Area.

In his remarks, the Minority Leader of the Bauchi State House of Assembly Hon. Bakoji Aliyu Bobbo who spoke on behalf of the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, His Excellency Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammad, commended the organizers for recognizing the laudable contributions of the Speaker to his Constituency and the State.

According to him the Speaker possesses exceptional leadership qualities and moral standards which are difficult to find in today’s politicians and leaders.

He explained that the endurance, perseverance, capacity and humility of the Speaker are what kept the Assembly, the Government together and took him to national limelight, hence the reason all are appreciating and honouring him.

In his response, the Speaker expressed his deepest appreciation to the Association and all communities that organized the event.

He explained that he will never take the gesture lightly because there is no honour or endorsement that is as valuable as the one done by one’s community, which he said is a clear indication that the mandate given to him by his people, is being delivered to their satisfaction.

The Speaker pledges to continue doing more to all parts of the Constituency and the State in general.

On the intense calls on him to contest for the House of Representatives, the Speaker said he accepted the call, saying he will follow the wish of his people to contest for the seat of Ningi/Warji Federal Constituency in whatever party they so wish.
