The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that all pilgrims participating in the 2025 Hajj, regardless of their country of origin, must possess a Nusuk Card that contains their personal details.

The Ministry stated that the measure aims to facilitate the identification of genuine pilgrims and to streamline access to the holy sites in Makkah, Madinah and the Masha’ir.

In line with this directive, the Madinah Committee on Passport Management Control of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has been tasked with securing the Nusuk Cards for Nigerian pilgrims.

Since its arrival in the Kingdom on May 5, 2025, the Committee has been working tirelessly to ensure the timely issuance of the cards ahead of the arrival of Nigerian pilgrims.

Hajj reporter Suwaiba Ahmed report that despite the round-the-clock efforts, the head of the Committee in Madinah, Dr. Aliyu Abdulmumin Abdulhameed, has appealed to all stakeholders—particularly the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards—to submit the manifests of their intending pilgrims to the Madinah office at least 24 hours prior to their arrival in Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Abdulhameed emphasized that early submission of the manifests will significantly ease the issuance and activation process of the Nusuk Cards upon the pilgrims’ arrival.
