NHGSFP: FG to enroll Five Million additional Pupils across the country

Five million pupils are to be enrolled into the National Home Grown School Feeding Program across the country in line with the Federal Government Initiative to boost the program among pupils of primary 1-3.

This was made known by the National Team Leader of the program Alhaji Abubakar Gidado at the official flag off exercise for the enumeration of Home Grown School Feeding Program held at Unguwar Borno Primary School Bauchi

The National Team Leader said that the exercise will help in sensitizing the vendors, pupils and the general public and it will enhance the speediness of the program in the country.

While Responding, the State Focal Person of the Special Investment Program Bauchi Office, Hajiya Amina Katagum said the enumeration exercise will be extended across the state and its 20 Local Government Areas.

She added that, over one million pupils are benefitting from the program across the state with over seven thousand vendors.

She therefore commended the state government support towards ensuring the success of the program.

The Enumeration exercise includes capturing the biometrics of the pupils, Food ventors, Teachers, stakeholders and others.
