A Non-governmental organization, Connected Development Organization (CODE) in collaboration with Learn to read with support of the Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and USAID have train One Hundred and Eighty Seven members of the School Management Committee (SBMC) and school Management Team (SMTs) on effective management of schools to meet international standards.
The training workshop which was held separately in Katagum, Misau and Bauchi local government areas covers the three senatorial zones of the state.
The program officer, Connected Development Organization CODE, Abdul’aziz Abdulmalik Hussain gave the indication during the opening of the the training which focused on the community governance structures said the move is to come up with new modalities that would boost the capacity of teaching, monitoring and evaluation of SBMC in order to proffer solutions in the education system.
Abdul’aziz added that the training is also part of effort to improve the quality and efficient school administration where participants will have the knowledge to enable them plan and effectively manage schools in the state.
The Program officer sad it’s imperative for them to know their roles and responsibilities in the education sector which through that they can effectively improve teaching and learning in a conducive environment.
In his remark, the Deputy Director, Social Mobilization in the Bauchi state Universal Education Board Malam Sulaiman Bello appreciated the effort of CODE and other Development partners for their continued support in the education sector and called on the participants to ensure implementation of the training requirements.
Participants at the training gave the assurance that the impact of the training will be felt in soonest for the best interest of the state.
