New Spokesperson for Nigerian Correctional Service Yobe State Command Assumes Office

A new Command Public Relations Officer(CPRO) for the Nigerian Correctional Service in Yobe state has been posted and has assumed duty.

He is Haruna Isa, an Assistant Superintendent of Corrections. Until his posting to Yobe state command as the PRO, he had previously served at the Public Relations Unit of the command.

ASC Haruna Isa took over from DSC Ibrahim Babe, who has been posted to the Satellite Custodial Facility, Monguno, Borno state command as the commanding officer.

The new spokesperson holds a B.Sc. in Mass Communication from the University of Maiduguri and has worked in both the print and broadcast media.

He was enlisted into the service in the year 2019 and attended the 28th Assistant Superintendent of Corrections Basic Course(Batch C) at the Nigerian Correctional Service Staff College, Barnawa, Kaduna, where he emerged as the overall Best graduating cadet during the six months intensive course on penal practices and management.

ASC Haruna has also worked in various stations and correctional facilities, in Medium Security Custodial Centre Potiskum, Yobe State Command Headquarters Office, Damaturu, Zone ‘C’ Headquarters Office, Bauchi, Gombe State Command Headquarters Office, Gombe, Medium Security Custodial Centre, Gombe as well as the Satellite Custodial Facility, Alƙaleri, Bauchi state command.

The new spokesperson has assured the public, especially the media, that all enquiries on the activities of the Nigerian Correctional Service in the state will be responded promptly.
