NANS cautious politicians against involving student in Politics

The National Association of Nigerian Students ( NANS) on Wednesday called on the politicians to stop converting students’ affairs into an avenue for their political benefits.

National Vice President, In Charge of National Affairs Comrade Yazeed Tanko Muhammad made the call at a press briefing.

He noted that the transformation of Students’ Unionism to political groups by politicians has against the disciplines of struggles that defines Students’ interest.

”Students Unions are expected to serve students and represent their interest to promote discipline, orderliness and oneness among students and school authorities and the government as Students’ representatives especially when it comes to decision that affect students”

Comrade Yazid also affirmed Comrade Hamza Musa Uba as newly appointed caretaker of National Association of Kano State Students (NAKSS) National Body.

” I am passionately urging you to work selflessly and efficiently towards the development of the students unionism .”

The Vice President lamented that Students who engaged in hate speech within the union are not doing good to the state and union in the future.

” I am respectively calling the attention of those claiming an authorized position to disassociate themselves from that perception. As they are dissolved based on the provision of the constitution”.

He stated that the dissolved president is no longer a student in any tertiary Institutions of learning in Nigeria and Diaspora.

” I will also urge the NANS members, particularly the Zonal Leadership of Zone A and other students leaders which to some extent played an elephant role in poisoning the minds of gullible followers should also be extra cautious and they should seized their uncooked interest from NAKSS political activities”

Muhammad called on the general public to patiently wait the decision of the Kano State Government and other relevant stakeholders adding that the date for the new election will be announced in due course, urging all the stakeholders to believe in the capacity of the new caretakers for the interest of union.
