MUSABAKA: Governor Bala felicitates with winners, donates N10 Million scholarship to the winners

Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has congratulated the participants and winners of the just concluded 36th National Qur’anic Recitation Competition saying that comprehension of the verses memorized is necessary.

Speaking during the closing ceremony held at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi, Governor Bala announced scholarship to winners in appreciation of their outstanding performance.

Bala Mohammed announced the donation of 10 million naira to the winners, another to participants and 5 million naira judges, adding that his administration is determined to supporting such an occasion for the betterment of the society.

The Governor noted that, the last nine days of the competition could be described as period of showcasing spiritual and intellectual prowess and excellence adding that there is no gainsaying the fact that the Glorious Qur’an remains the only Book that has been memorized completely by millions around the globe.

Governor Bala used the medium to call on religious and community leaders as well as Nigerians to continue to pray for Nigeria to overcome its numerous challenges.

Also speaking, the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Mohammed Sa’ad Abubakar commended Governor Bala for his commitment towards hosting the national competition and prayed to Allah to reward him abundantly.

The closing ceremony of the Qur’anic competition had in attendance, the State First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed, Emirs of Bauchi, Katagum, Misau, Jamaare, SSG among others.
