Motor accident claims 30 lives on Zaria-Kano Express way

About 30 passengers were burnt to death beyond recognition and 12 others sustained various degrees of injuries from a ghastly vehicle accident involving three Hummer buses at Tashan Musa along Zaria-Kano expressway on Thursday July 21, in Kudan Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Confirming the incident, the Head of Public Enlightenment of the Zaria Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Command, Malam Idris said that the accident occurred in the afternoon at about 3.30 pm.

Idris attributed the cause of the accident to over speeding and wrong overtaking, which he said, is responsible for most fatal accident on NIgeria’s major roads.
