As part of programmes lined up to wrap up menstrual hygiene Day 2022, Plan International have patnered Ministry of Health Abuja, Bauchi to Increase advocacy on Healthy Menstrual hygiene management.
Speaking virtually, the country Director, Plan International Nigeria, Charles Usie said “menstruation is not a problem but a biological issue that can’t be changed but can be supported in in a very meaningful and Practical ways for productive impact”.
” It is time to raise voices to ensure that Menstrual Health is discussed to the extent that every man becomes a driver of this change whether as a family holder or decision maker”, he said.
Speaking from Bauchi, spokesperson Ministry of Women Affairs and child development Esther Patrick commended Kimberly – Klark Corporation (KCC) for funding the Project as Implemented by Plan International.
She said they have been able to enlighten various Stakeholders in the state including community leaders traditional and Religious as well as male conteparts which have recorded significant progress in the state.
Other presenters at the session called for action Plan reiterating the need to make mestruating gender, comfortable during this period.
The Theme of this year’s Menstrual hygiene Day is Menstruation Matters: My Period my pride.
