MAULUD: Dr. Ladan Salihu urges Muslims to imbibe the virtues of Prophet Muhammad

As Muslims across the world observe the Ed-el-maulud celebration, Dr. Ladan Salihu, former Chief of Staff, government house, Bauchi, felicitates with the Muslim faithful on this year’s occasion.

In a statement signed by Sulaiman Maijama’a,
Secretary General Dr. Ladan Salihu Media Team, Said “with an overwhelming sense of happiness, my family and I Join Muslims across the world as they commemorate and observe the 2021 Ed-el-maulud ( the birthday of Prophet Muhammad_ Peace be upon him). I felicitate, in particular, with the revered Islamic Scholar, Sheik Dahiru Usman Bauchi; His Excellency the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala A. Mohammed; the Speaker Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abubakar Y. Suleiman and members of the Assembly; His Highness the Emir of Bauchi, Alh. (Dr) Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu.”

Salihu urges Muslims to use the period to imbibe the virtues of Prophet Muhammad_ Peace be upon him.

“This is a time for critical thinking and sober reflection. Among the teachings of Prophet Muhammad_peace be upon him, are piety, justice, generosity, tolerance, harmony and peaceful coexistence, regardless of faith. These have to be reflected in our interactions, ” he said.

He adds that the period is an opportunity for well-to-do individuals to extend a helping hand to the poor and the needy as exemplified by the prophet.

“With the current economic hardship in the country, as we all know, there is no better time to lend hands of gesture to those in need, than now.”

Dr. Ladan Salihu also called on Muslims to pray fervently for peace, unity, development and prosperity in the country.

“Nigeria is being ravaged by insecurity_ Boko Haram, banditry, kidnapping, armed robbery among other calamities. It is our collective responsibility to partake in constant prayer against these atrocities that try to tear the country apart. Nigeria is ours.”

Dr. Salihu also appealed to the public to pray for Bauchi State Government, under the leadership of Senator Bala Mohammed to continue to deliver developmental projects.
