Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state has commended operators of engine boats and canoes plying Dole Kaina – Lolo water ways for striving to promote economic activities between Nigeria and the two neighbouring countries of Niger and the Republic of Benin.
The governor made the commendation this Tuesday while addressing people engaged in marine transport at Dole Kaina saying the state government was highly appreciative of their orderliness and activities.
Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu who was transported in engine boat from Dole Kaina to Lolo on a condolence visit, was satisfied about the professionalism displayed by drivers of canoes and engine boats in ferrying passengers to their destinations.
In the course of his visit to Lolo in Bagudo Local Government, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu condoled with the family and the Zonal APC Care taker Vice-Chairman Kebbi North, Alhaji Sahabi Lolo on the death of his uncle Alhaji Musa Abubakar Lolo who passed away yesterday of a brief illness, at the age of 51, leaving behind one wife and seven children.
The governor prayed Allah to grant late Musa Abubakar eternal rest and the family fortitude to bear the loss.
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu paid similar visit to Suru town in Suru Local Government to condole with the family of late Alhaji Shehu Muhammad Suru Secretary of APC Care taker Committee Suru Local Government who died last Saturday night of a brief illness at the age of 57, leaving behind three wives and twelve children.
Senator Abubakar Bagudu was in company of Chief of Staff Government House, Birnin Kebbi Alhaji Sulaiman Mohammed Argungu and Special Adviser on Energy, Alhaji Yusuf Haruna Rasheed, where a special prayer for the repose of the soul of late Shehu Muhammad Suru as well as God’s guidance for the nation and her leaders was offered.
In his response, the District Head of Suru, Jagwadejin Suru, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Suru thanked the Governor for the sympathy visit and prayed Allah to reward him abundantly.
Elsewhere, the Governor this Tuesday made a stop-over and expressed his satisfaction on the quality of work executed on the provision of good drinking water to the Fulani settlement of Runtu Sabuwa near Dutsin-Kura along Bunza-Dakingari highway.
