Kaduna NUJ Condoles Emir Of Zazzau Over Death Of Worshippers In Mosque.

The Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kaduna state Council, Comrade Asma’u Halilu has condoled with the emir of Zazzau Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli over the unfortunate incident of mosque collapse that claimed the lives of 10 worshippers and many others injured.

The council Chairman represented by members of zaria unit of the Union led by its the Secretary, Comrade Abubakar Sadiq Mohammed said that they were before the Emir to commiserate with the him and the entire families of the victims as well as the entire people of Emirate and Kaduna over the tragic incident.

She said the national and state leadership of the union was fully represented to identify with the emirate in the sober mood.

Hajiya Asmau pointed out that members of the Union have provided accurate and timely media coverage of the incident which resulted to both national and international attention.

She assured the emir of continued support and cooperation to the emirate for national peace and stability.

Responding, the Emir of Zazzau Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli applauded the timely and accurate coverage of the incident by the Media.

He said the effort has proved the level of professionalism by members of the union.

The Monarch expressed delight on the mutual relationship existing between the union and the emirate, urging members to sustain the tempo.

However, Malam Bamalli said that experts from Department of Architecture, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and the Society of Architects have advised that the mosque be clamped down untill after comprehensive ronovation and or repairs of the mosque at the end of their assessment.

He however advised members to ensure balanced and fair reportage during the conduct of the professional duties.
